Snowy Sunday

Hello! It's a wee bit of a snowy day here today. I'm sure the skiers are delirious with joy as we haven't had much snow in our local mountains this season. Pretty.
I love a snowy Sunday!

This is where I got to with my Weeping Tree Sampler a couple of days ago but I had to take a break. I was not loving it and was frogging too much.
Thank you for your lovely comments about my finishes on my last two posts. They have encouraged me to stitch (and later finish) more smaller designs! Since I needed a break from the sampler I decided to stitch some smalls, starting with  gifts for some well deserving friends.  Hopefully next week I will have a couple of non-gift smalls to show you too.

Now while it's snowy outside I have a couple of small orchids blooming inside!

And here's another character quite content to be inside today! Julius is checking to see if the snow will stop soon!
I think we are all waiting for Spring!

Well, I'm going to head back to stitching my gift if I am going to get them out in the mail soon! Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!

Your amount of snow is just about right. We've had lots of melting the past few days before the big freeze comes again, and there are still huge piles of snow and no ground in sight. Sigh. Julius looks so comfy staring out at the snow. Love your stitching so far -- that's a pretty piece. Love your flowers too -- you really have a green thumb!

What gorgeous snow pictures - it's the complete opposite here in NZ right now, we've been melting, lol. Lovely stitching too :)

Your flowers are beautiful--hope they give you a feeling of spring--nasy winter 2014.

Julius looks like great stitching companion

I noticed that you live in Vancouver. We didn't get any snow here in Seattle but North of here, they got a lot. I do think your sampler is lovely.

Snow! Glad you got to enjoy some Melissa. Switching to smalls is a good idea if you are getting frustrated with larger pieces. Always good to see Julius!

Hope you got your gifts done. The sampler is lovely. It is good to take breaks sometimes.

Your cat has a warm perch, and I especially like the photo of the orchids with the snow as a backdrop.

Gotta love a snow day...it gives you stitching time, until you have to shovel. :)
Sorry you are frogging so much on Weeping tree. I did some of that as well. I like your color conversion. It is looking great. Hang in there!
Hugs to you.

What a pretty snow day! I want one too...on a work day...so I can skip work and stay home and stitch. But that's dreaming for me. I've never seen snow in SF altho I heard about it once happening in the 70's. Your new sampler is pretty...the sheep looks cute like it has it's head tilted to listen to something. Pretty orchids!!

It's not funny when you start a design and can't get to liking it - that happens to me more than I care to admit. The snow scene photo is so pretty - it puts a different slant on everything. I love the planter you've got the orchid in - the blue floral one. Julius looks so intent - cats do love to watch the world go by.

Looks so beautiful and cozy in your home. Little kitty seem to just be enjoying the snowy Sunday as well 👀

Oh, what a pretty snowy scene, Melissa. I can't say I feel the same about the view outside of my windows. We have had snow on the ground since late December and I can't begin to tell you how tired I am of it...

That new sampler is looking so beautiful--love that little lamb and all those "Melissa" colors :) And I'm excited to hear you'll be stitching more smalls, too--yay!!

Your orchids are so pretty--I've never tried to grow one, but my brother has some beauties.

Hope you have a lovely weekend with lots of sunshine... Us? Yep--more snow on Sunday...sigh!

Such gorgeous flowers that you have inside. It's always so great to see them blooming in all their wonderful colours, particularly when it's snowy outside. We were having the same layer of snow this morning but by noon everything had already melted away. Completely. Because now there's no need of snow anymore, lol. Of course, the skiers would just say the opposite thing, lol.

I love to see your Weeping Tree sampler a lot but when there's too much frogging involved it's better to stitch something else. I'm looking forward to seeing your next smalls.

Pretty stitching on the Weeping Tree Sampler. Love your orchids, the colours on both of them are quite unusual.
