Woozy

What a title for the first post of the year - woozy; well, at least it's better than boozy? I've caught some type of bug and have been sick and still am. One minute I think I'm feeling better then the next I'm not. Time to take it easy.

On New Year's Day I started the ES Spot Motif Sampler. It's full of bright, happy colours!

The colours are darker than they are in real life. It's difficult to take good photos when the days are so dark. We have had very stormy weather for a while - lots of rain; but we're not complaining, it's better than the deep freeze that's in many parts of the country!

Yesterday I was snuggled in a chair, wrapped in a blanket, and either reading or catching up on Downton Abbey episodes. If only I had a box of chocolates beside me...

Thanks for stopping by. I also appreciated all the lovely comments on my last post - I am looking forward to some positive changes this year!  Hope your new year is off to a great start. Have a wonderful week!

Hi, Melissa,
So sorry to hear that you are under the weather. I guess flu season is upon us. Sitting snuggled up and stitching while watching Downton Abbey, that's the best cure I can imagine. Love your Spot Motif sampler, I did that one several years ago. You must be using hand dyed? Yours looks much prettier than mine...Feel better soon!

It's so funny how you are always either working on something I love or working on something I'm planning on working on someday. I am planning on this one someday for sure! Hope you are feeling better soon -- what a bummer to be sick.

Feel better Melissa! So terrible to start off a new year sick. That was me last year. Your ES progress is stunning. I am so on the fence with this sampler! Each time I see someone stitching it, I want it but then when I see the chart photo, I talk myself out of it. It looks better stitched! :) Can't wait to catch up on Downton tonight!

Wow. I'm not much for bright colors but that's fabulous! I hope your bug leaves you soon!

Your sampler is beautiful. I love all the reds in it!! Are you using the called for threads?

Hope you're feeling better soon. I caught something (well actually the flu) in Early December and am still not feeling good. It's been a whopper!

I hope you feel better soon! I was out with a bug over Christmas and it took pretty close to a week before I felt semi-human again. What a waste of the last of my holidays!

Your sampler is looking amazing, you've made great progress!

Oh my goodness, Melissa - hope you shake that bug soon! Sounds like you are quite cozy though. :) Beautiful cheery colors in this sampler! I started it a few years ago - now you make me want to dig it out and work on it. :)

Looks like you're really working at a good pace if you're that far along after a start just two weeks out. Love the colors!!

Hope you're back to your old self soon.

I'm not sure if woozy is better than boozy, Melissa! At least with boozy you usually feel better the next day :) I hope you're feeling much better by now. That beautiful piece you're working on should certainly help you feel better--it is absolutely gorgeous! Those are the cutest little birds :)

Enjoy your week, my friend...

Poor you. Not so good to start the year with a bug but hopefully you already started feeling a bit better. Just relax and stitch a bit on your new sampler and you will soon be your old self. This new sampler is so beautiful with all its reds, and oh such sweet motifs. Enjoy the colours!
