Be Kind and True

Hello! It's the end of the Victoria Day long weekend here and it's not raining!  I've been able to get something new finished too!

Here is, Be Kind and Be True, by Blackbird Designs.  I hunted for this chart for awhile and was able to find it earlier this year.

I made a few small changes to the design. I used all the called for overdyed floss with a bit of substitution. It is stitched on 35 ct WDW Parchment.

Now I want to hunt down another OOP Blackbird Designs chart called Garland Fair.  If anyone has it and want to trade or loan, please let me know. Thank you.

I have two weeks left of work and I think I am having a bit of "the blues" about it. It's leaving behind the people side of it, not the work side of it, that has made me feel somewhat sad.

However, a pick-me-up is just outside my door. Here are some photos from our garden.

The roses are all coming into their season of glory! The above rose is a coppery orange and it's called Pat Austin.

Thank you for taking the time to visit with me. Also thank you for your kind comments left on my last post - they help me a lot especially the way I am feeling today. Time to get outside soon for my dose of gardening.

Have a great week ahead!

Let's hear it for "not raining" and also the Be Kind & True and especially, for the gorgeous flowers in your garden. So lovely--I'd love to sniff them.

Lovely blooms Melissa. I hope something turns up on the job front - things have a way of working out. You do like your BBDs:-)

Congrats on the lovely finish! This was the very first BBD I ever stitched, so I'm very fond of it :-)

It's always a great pleasure to see pictures from your garden. You seem to have a green thumb. Such gorgeous flowers. Ours are not blooming yet, as we have temperatures like in late February/early March.
Your BBD piece looks wonderful. I think I have it in my stash as well - have to go and look for it after finishing writing this. But I'm sure that I don't have the one you are looking for right now.

Love your BBD finish, too sweet. And I think it's normal to feel a bit blue, things will be better :-).

I too hunted for Be Kind & True for a very long time, it is so beautiful! I am about 3/4 of the way done, so now I have your's as inspiration to spur me on to finish!!!!

I hope your transition from work goes well!

I love your garden, mine is just getting started here in Ottawa... but no worries, I can enjoy your's!

Absolutely beautiful finish, Melissa! I am pretty sure I have Garland Fair but won't know for sure till I get home, later this evening. I'd be happy to loan it to you, if I have it.
Your garden is gorgeous - as always! Mine is starting to fill in and look pretty, too. The lilacs are still looking amazing and smell so sweet.
Good luck with your transition. I feel for you and hope you won't be too sad for too long. (((hugs)))

Lovely finish Melissa! And pretty flowers. Love seeing your garden photos! Hope the job transition goes smoothly and that you find something soon.

Another lovely, Melissa! I hope you have some luck in tracking down the other chart...

Will be thinking of you as you transition to the non-working world. I'm sure it will be a big change, but you know it is just temporary. I'm sure a new, less-stressful position will pop up very soon for you (but, hopefully, not too soon so you can get outside and work in that gorgeous garden of yours!).

Oh Melissa, I love this BBD! It's so pretty. Sorry to hear you have the blues about leaving work. You get attached to the people you work with. Hopefully the blues will pass. I love your garden so much. I can't believe the roses are out already! Hopefully we will get more sunshine than this cold weather we have been having lately.

Hugs!

Hi Melissa! Just dropped by for a quick look to see if you're still stitching. So glad that you are and doing such a wonderful job as always. All is well with me though time is still limited. No stitching for quite a while yet. I dream of the time I will get back to it. Love to you and your family.
