A little bit more of Isabella

These days my mind is a bit scattered as work has taken over the little grey cells. With the long weekend, thankfully, I have been able to get past the beige-on-beige stitching that was so hard on my tired eyes in the evenings.  Here's my progress on Isabella.

See what I mean?

Blink and you could miss all the beige lettering! I'm glad that part is done and I can start on the cow soon, which I will fondly call Betsy.

I will also show you some stash I received last week from Wendy of Pineberry Lane. I really like her latest sampler, the Rising Harvest. It has a sweetness in its simplicity.
OK, that's all for today, short and sweet! (You can always tell when work has taken over my life as I don't have much to say!)

Thanks for visiting, your comments and good vibes! I can always tell that too! Have a good week!

Oohhh! I bet that beige on beige was tiring on the eyes! But, it's simply stunning to look at - this is one lovely piece!

I LOVE Isabella! One day I will get my hands on that issue of the Quarterly so I can stitch that red cow! You deserve a medal for all that beige lettering- wow. Pineberry Lane is one of my new favorites. Fun stuff!

PS- my word verification is "reartize." Use it in a sentence! ha!

Isabella is so pretty -- even if that beige lettering is hard to see. :D I love that Rising Harvest Sampler as well -- haven't gotten it yet, but it's only a matter of time I think.

Isabella is looking wonderful so far! I really love the colours, they remind me of the latest BBD JCS Christmas ornament. Nice stash too!

I love Isabella! The beige will be worth it when you add in more colors at the bottom... it'll look so elegant. Love the new stash! I hope you had a good Thanksgiving.

I know, I know, stitching with a thread colour similar to the fabric is enough to drive anyone batty! Well done for sticking with it and it's really looking terrific.

Now as far as your new stash goes, the Christmas one is standing out to me. Think I might take a look at your link and see what else catches my eye. (Love the props in the photo too!)

Have a good week, my dear!

Isabella is coming along so nicely! I can well appreciate that you were happy to be done with all those beige lettering.

Love you new stash!! I stitched the Christmas one last year, really need to get myself organised to finish-finish it for this Christmas!!! It was a fun stitch. Love Rising Harvest. I think I might just be adding this one to my stash!!

Yes Yes Yes! Another Isabella the Red Cow Sampler. Interestingly, I didn't mind the beige at all! Oh, Melissa, just wait until she's finished and hanging on your sampler wall. You won't stop drooling!

I saw that Pineberry design too. My finger hovered over the 'order' button for quite some time, but then I remembered I'm going to a huge craft fair on Thursday, so I decided to wait...

Hi Melissa, your Isabella is looking awesome. I feel the same way about stitching with light thread on linen. Now you can mooove on to Betsy. I loved stitching my bovine.

Isabella looks great! That beige on beige must have been pretty boring. But at least it wasn't white on white (or black on black!)

You always have the most interesting projects in the works, Melissa. Hope that stitching on Isabella will give you a bit of relief from work-related stress!

I love the colors you have used in this piece, so prim looking. I really need to find a needlework store so I can see backings and threads in person.
