The exchange piece that Annemarie made for me finally arrived on Thursday! She was worried that it was lost as it's been over a month since she had sent it. However, when you see what she sent me, you may guess why.
What a great package! She made a beautiful scissor fob with matching cording that she made, and it's attached to these great scissors! I think it was the scissors that probably caused customs to hold this package for awhile! But it arrived safely. Thank you so much, Annemarie! I love everything, including the pretty card! This is also my first strawberry fob so it's extra special. I was just giddy when I opened this package!
I don't have any stitching to show you yet, but I will show you these tulips.
Now you may wonder why I'm showing you wrinkled dried tulips. However, I don't see them that way. Tulips are the flowers, to me, that look even more beautiful as they "go past their prime". It's like all the essence of their colours , their markings are condensed and become more pronounced. To me, this looks like a painting.
Thank you all so much for your comments and your caring about my blues. We all get them I know. A lot is tied to the weather but some are just there even if it's sunny out. I am feeling both better because of the sunshine, and because I've adapted to my current work situation.

The colors -- magnificent!! Tulips are one of my favorite flowers, always have been since I was little. Glad you're feeling less blue!

Lovely fob ! I think there is a type of tulip that naturally looks like yours. Just got in from Trout Lake and yes the weather is gorgeous.

Awesome package from AnneMarie! She does beautiful work and I know it brought a smile to your face! I think the tulips are a lot like women - we get older but our colors shine through and even though we may all start to wither on the vine a little bit, we are all still beautiful!

Your tulips look the flowers on your Birds of a Feather project. I bought that chart a long time ago, but was disappointed to see lots of, what I thought, missed stitches, but after seeing your finish, I might just have another look at it.

Tulips are one of my most favorite flowers, Melissa (along with hydrangeas and sunflowers). Imagine my horror when I discovered deer had jumped the fence around our garden and nibbled all of the tulip leaves to the ground last week. I was just sick!

The prim strawberry that Annemarie sent is so darn cute! And your tulips are beautiful. I thought they were the "curly" ones when I first saw the picture. I hope your blues are going away. I always feel like that when I have to return to work, even after the weekends...Sunday night = blue.
